Contemporary Issues in Intellectual Property Rights: Emerging Technologies, Access to Medicines and Sustainability

The School of International Relations and Politics, MGU is organising a seminar on ‘‘Contemporary Issues in Intellectual Property Rights: Emerging Technologies, Access to Medicines and Sustainability’ on 7th October 2024, jointly with the Intellectual Property Rights Information Centre – Kerala (IPRIC-K) of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE).

The proposed one-day national seminar titled ‘Contemporary Issues in Intellectual Property Rights: Emerging Technologies, Access to Medicines and Sustainability’ aims to look at the intersections between IPR and Technology, Access to Medicines and Sustainability and facilitate an intellectual knowledge production in these issue areas. The  resource persons for the seminar are Prof. T.C. James, former Director (IPR), Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion;Prof. Reji K. Joseph, Associate Professor, Institute for Studies in Industrial Development, New Delhi;r. Kavitha Chalakkal, Assistant Professor, IUCIPRS, CUSAT, Kerala; Dr. Arathi P.M, Assistant Professor, SILT, MGU along with the technical expert provided by KSCSTE-IPRICK, Dr. Asha R, Project Scientist, Patent Information Centre, KSCSTE.
