IEEE Xplore Digital Library & EBSCO Academic Search Premier – Training and Interactive session

Mahatma Gandhi University Library has been subscribing to EBSCO-Academic Search Premier and EBSCO-IEEE databases for the last few years. It is very important that the recommended and subscribed resources are utilized to the maximum by the faculty, scholars and students, as the library is under heavy pressure to discontinue under-utilized resources, due to the severe financial crisis. We feel that regular and frequent demonstrations and training sessions will enhance the use of these resources.

The IEEE Xplore digital library is a powerful resource for discovery of and access to scientific and technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and its publishing partners. IEEE Xplore provides web access to more than four-million full-text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics.

EBSCO offers a variety of library resources in various disciplines including EBSCOhost, an online research service with 375 full-text databases, a collection of 600,000-plus ebooks, subject indexes, point-of-care medical references, and an array of historical digital archives. In 2010, EBSCO introduced its EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) to institutions, which allows searches of a portfolio of journals and magazines.

Hence, the University Library cordially invites all Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students of your School / Department to the Orientation Programme on EBSCO – Academic Search Premier and IEEE to be held on Thursday, 16th January 2020 at the Seminar Hall of the University Library from 11 AM to 12.30 PM. Sri. Nandalal T S from EBSCO Information Services will handle the session.

All participants are requested to bring your Internet accessible LAPTOPs for hands on training and
